All About Us

You are looking at the home web page for Dale and Sue Stephens.  Dale was born in Corpus Christi, Texas in April, 1943.  He lived in Aransas Pass, Texas until 1953 when he moved to Satanta, Kansas.   Sue was born in Liberal, Kansas in May 1945 and lived in Satanta, Kansas.  That is where we met.  We enjoyed growing up in a small farming community.  Sue and I were married on November 30, 1963 in Satanta and then we moved to St. Ann, Missouri where I had just started working for McDonnell Aircraft.  We lived in St. Ann, Missouri until April 1965 when I took a job with AT&T in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  Both of our children were born in Las Cruces.  Jeff, our son, in 1967, and Teresa, our daughter, in 1969.  In 1976, we moved to Albuquerque, where we lived until 1979.  At that time we moved to Littleton, Colorado.

Jeff married Lori Shattuck in Westminster, Colorado in September, 1989.  Jeff and Lori now live in Comanche, Oklahoma.  Jeff works for Halliburton and spends most of his time in Wyoming working as an electronics technician.  We also have two grandchildren living in Oklahoma.  Our granddaughter Nellie, and her husband Herschel live in Duncan.  They have a 3-year son named Ryan who is quite a character.  Our 19-year old grandson, Michael, is attending Oklahoma State University where is in his sophomore year.  He plans to pursue a career in law or politics.   We are fortunate to have our other granddaughter, Andrea, living nearby in Centennial CO.  She recently graduated from Xenon International School of Hair.

Teresa married Perry Salas in Golden, Co.  in June, 1992.  Teresa and Justin, our Grandson now live in Aurora, Colorado.  Teresa works at Bailey and Company in Centennial, Co.    Her work encompasses many tasks including accounting, real estate management, and travel arrangement for her two managers.  Teresa graduated from Arapahoe Community College in 2003 with a Para-Legal Degree.

Sue and I  live in Littleton Colorado.  I retired from AT&T after 32 years of service in September, 1998, and Sue retired from the U.S. Government after 25 years in May, 2005.  Besides our two grown children, we have a daughter-in-law, four grand children, and one great grandchild as well as a dog.  The dogs name is Mac and he rules the house.

My hobbies are ham radio and computers.  Sue's hobbies are reading, flower gardening, bird watching, volunteering in the nursery at church.

Now that we are both retired, we hope to be able to travel a little bit and enjoy life in general.
